ABOUT Catherine

“I always wanted to keep making plans. I want to keep doing things that are important for me.”

When Catherine was diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2020, surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy quickly became part of her life. But so did her travel plans. Exploring new places had always been a source of joy for Catherine, and she was determined to keep travelling whenever her health and treatment schedule allowed.
Catherine found ways to make her cancer journey and her love for travel coexist. She travelled to Tanzania during her cancer treatment, going to the hospital for blood tests while also discovering the country. She has also travelled to Mexico, embracing the long flights, unfamiliar places and experiences that come with travelling far from home.
Peru, Egypt, Cambodia, Tanzania, Greece, Italy, and the journeys still ahead to Petra and the Great Wall of China, are all part of the life Catherine continues to plan, one that still leaves plenty of room to travel.
